The dominoes have started to fall as Hurricane Hermine threatens the Sunshine State.  Hermine made landfall just south of Tallahassee early Friday morning packing winds of 80 MPH. Hermine is the first hurricane to make landfall in Florida since Wilma in 2005.

With a full slate of weekend XC meets on the Calendar, meets will be impacted.  Pro-active coaches are already making calls to see which meets could possibly substitute for the impending cancellations and reschedules.

A large swath of Big Bend area schools are closed as the storm tracks inland across Southern Georgia and up the eastern seaboard. We can confirm the Big Bend Cross Country Invitational scheduled for Apalachee Regional Park on Saturday morning has been rescheduled to Monday, September 5th.

The Bale-N-Trail Cross Country Original has already been rescheduled to Labor Day Monday as all school events have been cancelled for Friday and Saturday in St. John's County School District  which runs from Palm Coast to the South and Jacksonville Beach to the North.

The Lecanto Invitational, citing downed trees and power-lines, has been cancelled according to Coach Epstein.

Wiregrass Run with the Bulls has also been cancelled as the school board has cancelled all weekend activities.
